Arctic Monkeys Reveal New Song/Video: “Do I Wanna Know?”
This week, Sheffield, England’s Arctic Monkeys dropped some new material via their Facebook page. Fans were treated to a brand new track titled, “Do I Wanna Know?”, in the form of an animated video. What looks minimalistic at first turns into something way more complicated and psychedelic than anything the popular indie rock band has put out before. Think the 1981 fantasy flick “Heavy Metal”, but less revealing. The single is now available on iTunes, and the band hopes to release a new album this year; it would be their fifth studio album on Domino Records, and their first since 2011’s excellent Suck It And See. As far as summer plans go, the band will headline a slue festival dates, including the epic Glastonbury festival in Pilton, Somerset, alongside the legendary Rolling Stones and Grammy award-winning Mumford & Sons. Look to see the Monkeys coming stateside and playing their blend of dark and heavy post-punk for American crowds this September. Until next time, indie-minded friends…

Good for you Gaga!
"Today I pledge 1 million dollars to New York & The American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Relief. If it wasn’t for NYC: the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today. New York is relentless ambition, a drive to succeed, a place where there is a natural pursuit of diversity through compassion. Please accept this gift on behalf of myself, my parents Joe and Cynthia, and my sister Natali; with our deepest gratitude New York for raising us. Thank you for helping me build my spirit. I will now help you rebuild yours. Sincerely, Lady Gaga and The Germanottas”
