Happy Fashion Friday people! While the universal topic of conversation continues to be “short hair, don’t care”, let’s chat about…something else.

Miley, Rihanna and Beyonce are going to have to take a backseat this Friday (sorry ladies).

Let’s chat about another leading lady that’s slowly emerging back into the limelight. KATY PERRY. We missed you!

Perry just released cover art for her upcoming single Roar that has some serious ‘90s style influence. Her tiger satin bomber jacket and animal print border are hinting that Katy is about to make a serious statement with this new single! This sure doesn’t look like the bubble gum pop Perry we’re used to, don’t you think?

Let’s not act like Katy is the only one rocking ‘90s inspired looks. Has anyone taken a look at Ke$ha lately??!?! With all of her glitter and bedazzlement, she looks like she walked straight out of a ’90s grunge music video. Guess what? Ke$ha has officially launched Kesha Rose by Charles Albert premier jewelry collection- YES YES YES! You can finally sparkle up your wardrobe with bracelets, earring, necklaces and rings (just in time to channel your inner animal for Back to School)!

I think Katy’s bomber jacket and accessories from Kesha Rose will create the ultimate ‘90s rocker “don’t mess with me” look?

Will you be channeling ‘90s fashion anytime soon?

Until next time fashionistas!

Happy Fashion Friday everyone! Today’s it’s all about Ultra Music Festival! SWRV was down in MIA for phase 1 of last weekend’s EDM craziness. If you’ve ever been to a LMFAO or Ke$ha concert, then you probably can imagine how MIAMI looks right now! Lots and lots of neon colors, animal prints, crazy patterns and to top it off- GLITTER & FEATHERS! MC favorite Azealia Banks performed last weekend in an eccentric, colorful one-piece that might have given the fashion Gods a heart attack, but since Ms. Banks is so fierce and confident, she gets a pass with this one.

Little Mix stopped by our offices this week and brightened up our hallways with their eclectic fashion sense! One member even had sweatpants with beads attached to them paired with white heels- the ladies would have definitely spiced up the crowd if they were at Ultra!

Hands down, skeletal wear was the top trend of last weekend. It’s perfect for festivals, clubbing and of course-partying! Dance-Electronica veterans Skrillex and Krewella both rocked this look and Boys Noize even had a skull as part of their stage! Skeletal works great on tights or pants for the ladies and for you guys, a loose fitted tank or graphic tee is perfect with boot cut or skinny jeans.

Ultra continues this weekend with phase two. If you’re totally bummed out you aren’t at the festival, have no fear! Dance-Electronica is always here to save you. Catch it on your TV or stream it online and JUST LIKE THAT- all your worries are a thing of the past!

Dance your little hearts away fashionistas! J

Until next time!
