We can always count on Mariah Carey & Jennifer Lopez to give us the perfect summer anthems! Mariah’s ballad #beautiful featuring Miguel features the mom of two chilling on a motorcycle sporting a scandalous shorts and black cut out crop top combo. I’ve never seen Mariah look any better- and let’s not forget Ms. J Lo! Her new song featuring Pitbull “Live it Up” is sure to be a club banger, not to mention we are currently playing it on our Pop Latino channel. J Lo is doing the mom thing, the music thing and of course, the fashion thing! She gave an exclusive sneak peek for the fall collection of her clothing line Jennifer Lopez for Kohls earlier this week that include jumpsuits, comfy harem pants and bedazzling jewelry!

If you’ve felt like it’s been attack of the former Disney Queens lately, you’re not alone! Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus aren’t letting anyone steal their sunshine! There’s a reason Miley Cyrus is #1 on Maxims Hot 100…it’s because this girl pulls ANY look together ever so perfectly! Miley gets an A+ for her flawless red carpet look with a black and white Valentino jumpsuit and striped Saint Laurent heels. Pulling it all together with a popping red lip and that spiky blonde hair, Miley is Valedictorian for this red carpet style course…SPEECH! Demi Lovato looked better than ever last weekend at Wango Tango in LA sporting an all black look including a sheer Raquel Allegra tie dye tunic, YSL heels, Topshop pants and a crop top! Looking fabulous Demi-plus I love the blonde locks!

Happy Fashion Friday ladies and gentlemen!

From Punk: Chaos to Couture to clothing line debuts, the past week has been anything but boring! First things first, we NEED to talk about the MET gala that took place last weekend! With the theme of Chaos to Couture, anybody whose anybody was in attendance showcasing their most classy and wild punk couture. My favorite looks were from Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and Beyonce! Total fashion NO-NOs were Nicole Richie, Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian (sorry). Beyonce’s outfit didn’t scream chaos or punk at all, but it sure yelled couture with everything from her gloves to her custom Givenchy matching print gown and boots.  WHAT CAN’T THIS WOMAN DO? She just released a new Beyonce.com shop and her sun kissed ads have taken over all H&M stores with the Mrs. Carter Summer Collection that’s available…NOW! The pieces in her collection are extremely cute and affordable, so if you’re looking for the right bikini or sundress- run to your nearest H&M store!

Knock, knock…whose there? Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj who? Nicki Minaj’s Clothing Line for K-Mart and ShopYourWay! Um…YES!!! Minaj was nice enough to tweet a couple snapshots of pieces from her line and they couldn’t be more on point and perfect for the summer! It’s full of leather bustiers, high waisted skirts, loud printed tights, bedazzled caps, along with so much more. With price points that surely won’t hurt your wallet, be prepared for the world to be infested with Barbies everywhere!

A Week in Magazine Covers & Sneakers

My oh my- it’s been a jam packed week full of star studded magazine covers and sneaker love! Selena Gomez has been making the rounds to any and every media outlet promoting her new single Come & Get It- an infectiously catchy song that’s nearly impossible to get out of your head! The starlet’s collab with ADIDAS NEO launched this week which includes sporty and chic sneakers that are perfect for the summer season! I love this collection because it’s girly, fun and most importantly- PRACTICAL. It’s always the worst when a pair of kicks totally ruins your cute outfit- but thanks to Selena, that’s not the case! Guess who else loves sneakers? A$AP Rocky …duh! He’s featured in ADIDAS’ Hoops brand new “#quickaintfair” campaign that focuses on the philosophy behind the Crazyquick sneaker. That’s pretty…dope.

Okay- so A$AP is featured on the newest commercial for ADIDAS, has two songs sitting pretty on the charts, and a lavish feature in the May issue of GQ in full blown nautical gear. Chilling on a yacht with straight off the runway models, Rocky is decked out in a stripped Ralph Lauren No-Sweat Sweater and white shorts, a Stampd Los Angeles cap, and a Louis Vutton belt…it doesn’t get any preppier than this. From preppy to completely risque, Ms. Liam Hemsworth sets the record straight that Hannah Montana was probably a figment of all our imaginations. Miley is featured on recently released projects with Snoop Lion and will.i.am, but my favorite new project is her spread in V Magazine. Is she just being Miley? Well…you be the judge. Baring down to nearly nothing in American Apparel briefs, Y-3 pants and Chanel, she definitely proves that twerking in your spare time does the body good. :)

Pink is looking good on the June 2013 cover of Glamour magazine! The pop singer gives a great interview where she even admits, “I’m a reformed slut.” GASP! 

Doesn’t it feel like everyone has a clothing line nowadays? We’ve got Rihanna designing for River Island, Jay-Z with Rocawear, and Big Sean’s ‘Finally Famous’ clothing line amongst so many other clothing lines! I’m LOVING all these artists diving into the world of fashion design and expressing themselves outside their music. Fashion + music = Music Culture wouldn’t you agree?!

MC loves Ciara…and Ciara loves Givenchy’s ’13 Resort Spring Collections! She’s been in our offices twice within the past couple weeks and last week our U & A host Micah Jesse had a chance to chat with her about upcoming new music, inspirations and of course, fashion! Ciara proves that menswear isn’t just for the boys and that your personal taste will mold your style into whatever your heart desires…Get it Cici! She rocked an all black look with a Givenchy printed jacket on her first visit and killed it this week in an all white ensemble with a menswear shirt from the same collection! Needless to say, Ciara knew just how to do it Like a Boy. 

You can say I took some pointers from Ciara this week when I needed an outfit for this week’s episode of MC Now. I had the chance to hang out with my friends at T.I’s showroom for his sportswear line AKOO and snag a fly tank top….thanks AKOO! ;)  AKOO just came out with their Summer I Collection that has a dope tropical and patriotic feel that’ll get you amped for some warm weather! Artists like Driicky Graham, B.O.B, and of course T.I rock AKOO all the time and if you didn’t know T.I had a clothing line, well- now you know!
